Season’s greetings from ACEA

As 2025 draws to a close, I extend my warmest wishes to our partners, members, stakeholders, and friends. This year has shown that the strength of our industry lies not only in technology and innovation, but in the collaboration and commitment of the people who dedicate themselves to it every day.

The automotive sector is, above all, about people: their livelihoods, skills, and future. This spirit was reflected in our ACEA Lab sessions, where students and experts explored together the skills shaping tomorrow’s mobility. Their energy reminds us that human potential will guide the automotive sector through its digital and green transformation.

This year has been a challenging one for the automotive industry. Looking ahead, 2026 will be a decisive year to ensure a balanced approach that aligns decarbonisation with competitiveness and resilience. With the continued engagement of our members, the renewed mandate of Ola Källenius as ACEA President for 2026 and Karin Rådström succeeding Christian Levin as Chair of the Commercial Vehicles Board, our industry remains committed to a realistic, competitive, and inclusive path to zero-emission mobility. We look ahead to the coming year with a shared drive to constructive and meaningful collaboration.

On behalf of all the ACEA team, thank you for your trust and cooperation throughout the year. We wish you a peaceful holiday season and a new year filled with health, fulfilment, and success.

Warm regards,

Sigrid de Vries

Director General
